We had a wedding to go to in Seattle, so we decided to take a vacation and drive up there. We went to Northern Cali to visit my sister. Then we saw some of the Redwoods and drove part of the coast of Oregon. Next, we went to Washington to visit my sister and then to Seattle for the wedding. We decided that Utah was only four hours more so we went there to visit another sister. It has been a fun and exciting trip. Our kids usually travel really well, but we have learned our lesson and will never tell anyone that again. They didn't do so well on this trip. Of course, we were in the car for a lot longer than our usual Utah trip. On the way from Seattle to Utah, our kids kept fighting and screaming. I thought about getting out and flying there. But I decided that Mark would be unhappy, so I stuck it out and it did get better.
Our first stop was Shauna's house. The kids and I went with her and her preschool class to the Folsom Zoo. It was fun. The kids got to ride on a train and see quite a few animals. Then we played on their splash pad in their backyard. That was a blast.
